The Oklahoma State Capitol is the government house of the U.S. state of Oklahoma – which stands just outside of town. It is the building that houses the Oklahoma Legislature and the executive branch.
You learn about Oklahoma’s history, including the fact that Oklahoma has the only Capitol with a working oil well on its grounds.
The building itself is built in the Greco-Roman style. One can discover marble floors and stairs, hand-painted ceilings, portraits of famous Oklahomans, and other artwork.
