Our day began very early, and the hustle and bustle were still within limits. The subway from New Jersey to Manhattan was not yet crowded at this time, and we could start exploring the city in peace.
The spacious Central Park is a total contrast to the bustling life in Manhattan.
The city on the Hudson River, with its many impressive buildings like the Empire State Building, the Flatiron Building, and the Chrysler Building, is definitely unique. The subway stadium at the WTC is an absolute architectural feast for the eyes. But you only get something out of it if you’re on the road really early.
At Times Square, which is located in the theater district on Broadway, you have to fight your way through the crowds, and the numerous small artists are also a bit exhausting in the long run. But it is nice and colorful there…
